FLOWERS Series | Coexisting species to mutual advantage
2015-2026
Started in 2015, the Flowers series recomposes plant fragments and insects into colourful, fragile floral specimens. The petals’ colours do not fade without water, and each flower’s structure synthetically imitates naturally occurring species. Stems, leaves, sepals, petals, stamens, and pistils reconstruct the immediate impression of a flower, while poetically addressing the problem of death. The works vary in size—ranging from single flowers to full compositions—and are preserved in transparent cases. Each piece is transported disassembled, like elements of a construction “kit,” and reassembled using pins on perforated wooden bases; all components remain visible and integral to the artwork.
